JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist! In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate day-to-day operations of our shipping and receiving department, ensuring the timely and organized flow of inventory. You will play a key part in maintaining our inventory accuracy and supporting our overall supply chain.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently check in and unload all incoming freight shipments in a timely manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against packing slips, invoices, and other documentation.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies in received goods.
  • Accurately restock received parts and materials to their designated bin locations or special order areas on a daily basis.
  • Maintain organized and accessible storage areas.
  • Manage and process PACCAR core returns according to established timelines (by the 5th of each month).
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of core returns.
  • Oversee the upkeep, organization, and return of all vendor cores.
  • Maintain accurate records of core packing lists for future returns.
  • Pull, tag, and prepare monthly stock returns and periodic returns for after-market vendors.
  • Manage all aspects of UPS operations, including shipping, receiving, and secure packaging of outgoing shipments.
  • Utilize computer systems and tools to enhance daily shipping and receiving operations (including dealer order entry terminals).
  • Maintain purchase orders and attach them to incoming packing lists for accurate verification and placement of special order parts.
  • Manage special order will-call bins, ensuring timely customer pick-up and purging according to schedule (monthly).
  • Maintain organized parts-related correspondence.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts on randomly selected bin locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to all accounting and procedural guidelines and the Company Employee Handbook.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report any unsafe activities or conditions to the Parts Manager immediately.
  • Abide by the company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
